In 1993 the business started as Dunnys R Us concentrating on hiring portable toilets to the building industry in Melbourne with a range of builder’s toilets, function toilets and sewer connect toilets.
Being a registered builder, having managed his own successful building company, the ownner saw there was a need in this part of the industry to provide better service to the building trade.
He clearly understood the needs of builders and structured Dunnys R Us to take out the problems many builders faced in the provision of the various products needed to meet health and safety requirements, to comply with all the legislative requirements and most importantly to be able to build houses without hassle.
Starting from small beginnings with only 20 toilets and operating out of a shared yard with one of Victoria’s largest timber suppliers, Dunnys R Us underwent a steady growth path with acquisitions of other companies and a continual re-investment in the business with the purchase of more products and equipment to service the market which has enabled the company to be one of the largest and consistent market leaders in the Victorian market.
Whilst still retaining the original name of Dunnys R Us the company has gradually changed its identity and name to Super Safe Hire to better reflect the range of products and services we are able to provide.
Through the Dunnys R Us division we provide:-
• Builders temporary/site toilets • Function toilets • Trailer toilets • Corporate/function toilet blocks • Temporary site fencing • Power poles • Driveway cross overs • Tarpaulins • Rubbish cages • Site offices and lunch rooms • Portable cool rooms
Through our Super Safe Scaffold division we also hire and install fall protection systems including:-
• Planked walkway • Pitched platform • Mobile towers • Kwik-Stage scaffold • Hand rails
We also hire and provide:-
• Waste management services • Demolition services • Collection of demolition waste • Disposal of household waste
Over a long period of time Super Safe Hire has also built a very strong hire business with the amenities needed for large and small functions and events having supplied some of the major sporting events in Victoria such as:
• The Australian Tennis Open • The President’s Cup Golf Tournament • The Clipsal 500 V8 super cars • The Australian Grand Prix • and numerous public events, private weddings and functions.
Super Safe Hire is also licensed to provide a pump and clean service for temporary toilets and site amenities as well as a pumping service for septic tanks.
There are no secrets to our success. Super Safe Hire prides itself on being able to provide service that is superior to many of our competitors and therefore valued and appreciated by our clients. Because of our high service levels, we have many repeat clients and account clients who obtain their hire needs from Super Safe Hire and therefore they are our clients, not just customers.
